About Us

Nestled on sunlit hillsides above a fertile valley, our century-old vineyard benefits from the cooling breezes of the Carquinez Straits—creating an ideal balance of warmth and freshness. This distinctive microclimate, paired with rich soils, provides exceptional conditions for growing premium wine grapes, including Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, French Colombard, Muscat Canelli, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese, and Zinfandel.

Our family estate traces its roots back to 1920, when the Viano family acquired the property, originally planted in 1888. The landscape reminded them of their home in Piedmont, Italy, and they quickly became part of a thriving winemaking community. At the time, this region—known as Vine Hill—was home to more than 15 wineries and a vibrant viticultural heritage.

Today, in the hands of the 4th and 5th generations, we honor that legacy while continuing to evolve. Some of our original vines still stand, while others have been carefully replanted to reflect modern tastes without compromising tradition.

We are committed to natural and sustainable farming practices, paired with time-honored winemaking techniques. From fermentation with native yeasts to aging in small oak barrels, every step is guided by a respect for the land and the craft.

The result is a collection of finely handcrafted wines that express both our heritage and the character of this remarkable place.
